Garden Grove, CA (June 10, 2020) – Alkemist Labs is very pleased to announce they have once again achieved accreditation to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The Alkemist Labs Accreditation has been renewed until February 28^th, 2022.

The accreditation process involved a thorough assessment and review of the lab’s quality management system and competence to perform Dietary Supplement Identification and Qualitative Analysis HPTLC testing and Botanical Identification and Qualitative Analysis by Microscopy.  Also included in the accreditation scope are Alkemist’s internally developed cannabinoids and terpenes assays.

“Having the CBD method and the new terpenes method included in this most recent accreditation further solidifies our standing as a hemp testing authority,” said Elan Sudberg, CEO of Alkemist Labs.   “And it’s important to note that the identification portion of the testing scope meets the A2LA P112 Flexible Scope Policy, confirming our ability to give accurate results without delay for some complicated material.”

The accreditation demonstrates that Alkemist Labs meets technical and quality benchmarks as required by ISO/IEC 17025:2017. With the successful completion of the A2LA evaluation process, including an assessment of the laboratory’s compliance with the A2LA Food Testing Program Requirements containing 2018 “AOAC Guidelines for Laboratories Performing Microbiological and Chemical Analyses of Food, Dietary Supplements, and Pharmaceuticals”  accreditation is granted to Alkemist Labs to perform tests within their scope on dietary supplements, crude plant matter, plant extracts, oils, raw materials, finished products, fungal, algal species, and cannabis.
