WIN Summit

2026 - Petra returns as elected board member

There are so many things to say about the second WIN Summit.  But I want to tell this year’s story by starting at the end and sharing my closing comments to our attendees*

Thank you to everyone who is here, everyone who showed up, everyone who invested in themselves, and most of all invested in this community. You being here, being yourself, being authentic and vulnerable, this is what fuels us as a group.

When I was here a year ago at WIN Summit, there were at least two or maybe even three moments that exploded my idea of who I was. They challenged me to think differently about my place in the world, my place in this industry, and the impact that I could have. I hope that you had a moment today that challenged you to think differently about yourself in a more expansive way. I encourage you to let it into your heart and your mind and let it change what will happen between now and next WIN Summit.

Last year’s Summit started me on a path of introspection and goal setting. I took inventory of my strengths, my passions, my personal brand, and how I might use my 20 years in this industry as a platform for a wider impact. I turned to trusted friends and colleagues for advice and a fresh perspective. Those steppingstones lead me to saying yes to invitations to public speaking and challenging myself to think bigger about my growth. Eventually, I took an exciting leap pushing me well outside of my comfort zone and put my name forward for election to the WIN board.

What an honor to attend this year as a board member! Thank you to everyone who supported and encouraged me along the way. It meant so much to connect with so many of you in person after all our LinkedIn chats! At the WIN board meeting, I saw firsthand the dedication, passion, and energy that drives this global organization forward. I so enjoyed welcoming and becoming new sister board members with the wonderful Ewa Hudson. Other highlights included seeing dear friends lead and speak in panels, the inspiring keynote by Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary, and feeling all the feels as we recognized Mary Ann Nation Greenwall as our WIN Heroine. Special note to our WIN Bros – thank you! We see you and we so appreciate your support!

See you at Summit in 2027!

2025 WIN Summit from Petra

Never in my career have I had the opportunity to attend an event quite like the inaugural Women In Nutraceuticals Leadership Summit!  And really that’s because there has never been a group quite like WIN.  What a gift to spend a full day dedicated to thought provoking sessions on developing leadership skills and career growth, all the time surrounded by influential women in our industry.  The speakers, the networking, the event organization, and even the gluten free food options were all top-notch. The meeting facility at the Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona was a wonderful setting.

As part of the opening networking events, I was very excited to host a gathering at a local golf driving range.  It was amazing to see everyone relaxing and having fun to start off the summit, and for me personally, so gratifying to see women try, for the first time, the sport that I love.  We had a great mix of seasoned golfers offering tips and encouragement as well as first and second timers trying something new – so proud of you all!

I still carry the feeling I took home from the WIN Summit and find myself with renewed inspiration and energy to stay focused on strengthening my leadership style and career development.  I also carry with me the deepened friendships and new connections made.  When at a WIN Summit many years from now, they call for a show of hands asking who was there at the first, I will raise my hand high in pride and gratitude.
