Where once just THC and a handful of other Cannabinoids were identified, today there are over 120, as well as terpenes. Fit for purpose test methods need to be developed  and validated for them, and your lab has to be on top of that.  We’re at the forefront of cannabinoid and terpene determination testing, including development of a Certificate of Analysis that consumers can easily interpret. 

While Δ9– Tetrahydrocannabinol is the most abundant form of THC in cannabis, for which accurate testing is critical to meet hemp regulatory requirements, other THC Analogs are a growing concern.  While such analog compounds are naturally occurring cannabinoids, they are only found at trace levels.  Their presence can indicate manipulation or degradation of natural extracts. In addition to the existing 12 cannabinoid panel, Alkemist has launched a new THC Analog method to detect the below panel of compounds by HPLC.
