Regular readers know that Petra is a huge supporter of the SoCal Dietary Supplements Consortium (SCDSC), the partnership between FDA and ASQ FD&C to be a resource for the dietary supplement industry. Here are her thoughts on the recent meeting: 

“The 2025 Consortium did not disappoint! It was a true honor for me to share the stage and present alongside FDA National Expert Gary Pecic on “Quality & Monitoring Contract Labs.” With six FDA speakers and nine topic sessions overall, the agenda was packed with valuable and actionable content.  

Attendance numbers were way up this year, with a total of 450 attendees. In person attendance grew 22% and was sold out. Virtual attendance was up 99% over 2024.  It’s fantastic to see more members of the industry discovering this excellent information resource that is available to us all.  

The consortium plans an additional webinar this fall and an in person event in the East next spring.
