Anthony, who joined Alkemist Labs in 2021, has over 15 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry, Method Development, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Food Science. He provides laboratory operational leadership in the daily operations of the lab and for the expansion of test offerings. Responsibilities include developing and mentoring managers and supervisors, building customer and business relations, presenting organizational capabilities, defining the scope of work, and delivering results through execution and technical guidance.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California at Riverside and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry from the University of California at Davis. Anthony is the editor of three water activity books and has an extensive publication and presentation history on a wide range of industry related topics. He is a leading expert in food analysis and the properties of water in foods, supplements, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics for safety, quality, and shelf-life. Anthony is a member of the ASTM and AOAC Cannabis committees, AOAC Natural Colors group, AOAC Water Activity Expert Review panel, and IFT.
